Ministers who have been doing weddings a long time on Maui

Micaela's sister had her wedding officiated by Rev Kimo Kirkman in 2007.  So it was with comfort and confidence Micaela and Taylor had their wedding in 2015.  I helped her sister Coordinate her wedding eight years ago, and also used the same Hair and Makeup Stylist Lori both in 2007 and 2015.  We only use wedding professionals who really prove themselves and truly care about the couples.  We are hoping for a vow renewal soon, so we can have all the family back.  Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator

Where are the empty beaches for weddings?

Maui is a shifting timeline of visitors in and out.  Sometimes the beaches are filled, and sometimes you wonder where everyone is.  The trick is to go to beaches that are not based on tourist activities.  We love DT Fleming on the West side in Kapalua, we often have huge stretches of sandy beach to ourselves.  Arien Sherman captured the vastness that reminds you, you are out in the middle of nowhere.  Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator

Can we include our Children in the ceremony?

We love when Children are present at a wedding!  They remind everyone that this is a big celebration with cake at the end, and that Princesses do exist!  I can never look at an innocent little face in a cute wedding picture without thinking about that little boy or girl at their own future wedding, embarrassed by Mom and Dad who saved the picture all those years.  Here is Annalee, four years old, on her way to becoming a bride.  Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator

Are there Catholic Churches on Maui that we can get married in?

Yes!  There are Catholic Churches on both sides of the Island.  Your Priest at your home Church will work with the Priest here.  You do have to do some counseling and paperwork, but we have had couples from all over the world come to Maui and still be able to get married in the Catholic Church.  One of our favorites is St. Theresas in Kihei.  Mr. and Mrs. Villasenor had a lovely wedding with lots of adorable nieces and nephews.  Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator

A quiet wedding on a quiet beach, North Maluaka

One of the questions we receive the most is "where can we go to have a quiet wedding?"  One of the best places is North Maluaka, a little hard to get to, not posted as a big visitor beach.  Its at the North end of Maluaka beach with a lovely small cropping of rocks and bay, perfect for just the couple.  Charles and Ellen had the beach to themselves and were lucky to stay right at the Makena Beach and Golf Resort so they could walk to their wedding. Can we do a "First look"?

Absolutely, as long as we schedule for the photo time, and make arrangements where to meet, this is a special moment.  Its nice to do a first look so you can get the emotional jitters out of the way.  Grooms really appreciate it so they can break down in private when they first see their bride, and realize she is theirs forever! Mr. and Mrs. Nelson met at their hotel before going down to the beach. Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator

Where can we have an outdoor reception on a lawn by the ocean?

At none other than my favorite place, the Makena Beach and Golf Resort.  Nestled right on its own beach, the resort hosts ocean front lawns, large banquet rooms and wedding locations.  We do weddings at the resort all the time.  Mr. and Mrs. Villasenor, who live on Maui, had a church wedding, and then a reception at the resort.  Lovely in shades of pink.
