Nikki and  David from Victoria, Canada matched the early morning cove colors for their wedding.  Brilliant blue, and lovely smiles.  Our Bride Nikki, was most excited about getting the traditional "Just Maui'd" photo, and Arien Sherman, their Photographer was happy to help.  The couple made the most of their time here on Maui, starting out on the south side of the Island, in Makena for the Wedding.  Then an after wedding lunch at famous Mama's Fish House in the East side of the Island. And an escape to the Westside of the Island to Gerard's Restaurant, which has a quaint little hotel where they spent their wedding night.  I can help you with Restaurant reservations and events. Mami Horie was born and raised in the suburbs of Tokyo, Japan. At a young age her artistic abilities were very apparent. Very adept at Japanese calligraphy, she studied the art for 15 years becoming a master at the craft. Photography came later to her when she became associated with the photographic art of Gordon Nash. She became intrigued when she read an article written about his work in Nikon World Magazine. After becoming friends with Gordon she soon took to the artful yet very precision post production techniques that Gordon laid out before her. Mastering all his tricks and techniques, she soon expanded it on her own to make Gordon Nash’s work even more stunning! Mami assists photographing weddings and can be found most days at the studio designing albums, enhancing colors and fine retouching couples wedding photos. She is inspired by many things, but pretty much can sum it all up into two words…art and romantic passion. These are quite evident in her wedding photography work. Usually on her days off, you can find her golfing on the slopes of the Haleakala in Wailea, Maui, Hawaii.

Will my pictures look like the ones on the website?

Is a question we get often. The wonderful thing about Maui is even the worst day is a good day for photos.  In the morning hours at the Cove, we usually always have that blue sky and the blue waters.  The flowers are always colorful, the leis fragrant and the water cool on your toes.  Our Photographer, Arien Sherman has been honing his wedding photography for over ten years on Maui.  Mr. and Mrs. Shishkarev did see that yes, their photos look just like the photos on the website.  Jayanne, Wedding Coordinator
