Moving on to the East side of the Island, to Iao Valley, where a river flows and jungle greens reach to the skies. Brilliant red against vibrant greens for a formal Asian look, but then time to cool off and have some fun in the cool Maui water. Mr. and Mrs. Linehan got married 15 years ago in Maui on the Four Seasons beach. Three lovely children later and 15 years of wedded bliss, what better spot for a renewal with Photographer Arien Sherman? The Linehan family took advantage of Maui's diverse micro climates and stayed on the southside in Wailea, then in town in Paia, and out in the jungle of Hana at the super relaxation resort, the Travassa. We love when we get to help our neighbors with their wedding. Yan and Ayano of Kahului, Maui took advantage of having to only drive a half hour to Makena Cove. With weddings comes pictures. With pictures comes extreme close ups in all emotional states. We have a wonderful, true vetted team of Hair and Makeup Stylists that I have been working with for over 9 years. They spend most of the time "fixing" your face. Maybe the left cheekbone is more prominent than the right, maybe one eyebrow extends further than the other, maybe your nose leans a little to the left. They give you a face for your wedding day that you don't have to worry when the camera is staring you in the eye. Our Bride, Nichole was perfect to begin with and we just perfected her Hair and Makeup so that she could have flawless closeups. Good job Photographer, Arien, and our Stylist Andrea. On Maui, we sometimes get rain clouds that cruise through and sprinkle flower food as they go, topping off our waterfalls and playing a melody on the Banana tree leaves. But the good thing is if its raining at one beach, most of the time we can drive 10 minutes to another beach that isn't even thinking about rain. As the case for Mark and Nichole, scheduled for a Cove wedding that had sprinkles. We went to Charley Young beach in Kihei and the ocean contributed with that wonderful underlit jewel green glow we sometimes get. A lovely wedding mastered by Photographer Arien Sherman.
