Often when the wedding is just the couple only, or they are not having a reception, I have them do their first dance right there at the wedding. Tyler and Joie Wadsworth enjoyed their first dance as a couple, barefoot on the beach in paradise. Philip and Shannon Powell of Texas dreamed a perfect Maui wedding. The brides Aunt lives in Maui, thus making the Bride almost a local. DT Fleming beach was at its best, the couple exchanged personal vows after the traditional vows, and Gordon Nash got to shoot to his hearts content. Mr. and Mrs. Quinones from California got married on the Four Seasons Beach and we got to shoot on the hotel grounds as well. Heath and Ashley Tallman from Lake Oswego, Canada, made the best choices for their wedding. They stayed at the Makena Beach and Golf Resort, had a lovely wedding at the Makena Cove, went to an amazing wedding luncheon at Tommy Bahamas and brought their fun families. Bride Ashley was referred to A Paradise Dream Wedding by her friend Jessica, who we helped. The Grooms parents come to Maui all the time and were a great help. Blue skies, green grass, heavenly clouds, warm sunshine! All for Nan and Wan-Qing's special wedding day. The Couple from California had a private wedding at Gannons Lower Wedding Knoll, and a couples only photo shoot at lovely Poolenalena beach. Facing an oncoming hurricane, the bride calmly stocked her condo with food and waited for guests that had flight delays. But as usual, Maui's protected beauty gave them a spectacular wedding day! Being known as the best Photographers on Maui, we get a lot of requests for help with photos even when the couple has made other plans. Mr. and Mrs. Vu, had a lovely ceremony on a beach locally knows as "white rock", and did their ceremony early, then had the photos after the ceremony to capture sunset. And capture it they did!
